It all started as a cool idea.

And then it launched into something we all didn’t expect.

Rajah and Henry grew up together in Santa Fe, throwing snowballs at each other and texting frantically over their Nokia phones. Rajah pursued graphic design and architecture, while Henry followed his passion for mountain bike trail building. When Henry met Teddy Jaramillo (Janker) after moving back to Santa Fe, and they connected their love of bikes and trails, it was obvious there was a next step. Commissioning Rajah to play around in CAD to design a strong, beautiful ramp with learned curvatures from Henry and Janker, we knew we were onto something. Two years later, here we are.

  • Founder, Builder

Henry grew up crashing in his backyard on sketchy homemade jumps. Through mentorship and support at the local dirt jumps from some of the godfathers of freeride, Henry learned how to shape, pack, and analyze terrain and jumps. Henry has earned a bachelor’s in geology, all while building trails and lines on the side. From personal freeride projects to assisting with building events like Proving Grounds, Henry has a passion not only for building, but also for the science behind it.

  • Operator, Builder

A born and raised New Mexican, Ted spent his childhood digging in his yard, riding horses, and racing bikes. Ted took his riding to the next level, racing professionally for a number of years in and out of high school. In combination with his construction and heavy equipment experience, Ted transitioned to trail building full time. He has spent time building in Missouri and Arkansas and has now reestablished roots back in his home state. Ted is an insanely talented operator, and never leaves the cab unless absolutely necessary. You can catch Ted calling out to anyone on a bike with a big smile and getting the mini excavator in some crazy locations.

  • Designer

Rajah was educated as an architect at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, but is a problem solver above all else. He operates in the media of architectural design, graphic design, product design, and tools of digital fabrication. Rajah has a strong interest in resource-efficient building design as well as ergonomic improvements to everyday objects and spaces for the user. He believes that good design is the solution to any problem, whether it's a safe bathroom for the elderly or the world’s most advanced mountain bike jump. All solutions involve a clear respect for the environment, the material, and ultimately the builder. He is stoked to help bring Rocket Ramps into common parlance as an outstanding member of the action sport community.
